Wow, great ride and very inspiring, Just a quick question where is the southernmost point to pick up the Briarcliff - Peekskill Trailway?

and what road did you ride from Cold Spring to Peekskill?

thank you

I think it might be on Ryder Road in Ossining where the road crosses over 9A.

Southern end: Ryder Road in Ossining; just east of the NY 9A overpass. Take Route 9A north; get off at the exit for Route 133 (Somerstown); turn left at the stop sign onto Somerstown Road; turn right onto Camp Woods Road (which turns into Ryder Road); park on the left side of the road at the overpass over Route 9A. The trail starts at the eastern edge of the overpass concrete wall, very hidden from view.

Mostly Old Albany Post from Cold Spring to Peekskill, look at the garmin link in the first post. Lots of good dirt road climbing up there.

I believe cycling through the Teatown Lake Reservation on the BPT is frowned upon. I've only ever ridden it from Watch Hill Road by the Blue shooting range through to Colabough Pond Road just by the pond. Then I use the aquaduct from the dam.

That explains the three mtn. bikers I saw screaming down colabaugh pond road yesterday. I was heading back home from a road ride on colabaugh pond road when I saw three mtn. bikers looking like they were in it for the long haul. And I thought my 60 miler was a big ride...

Yep, that was us. Thanks John for the expert navigation! And btw, the third rider (Chris) was on a singlespeed :-)
